Peak Sauna Experience

HYDRATE BEFORE

Many individuals fail to consume an adequate amount of water, and this becomes even more crucial when utilizing an infrared sauna and perspiring. It is essential to maintain proper hydration by consistently drinking ample water before, during, and after your sauna session. Hydrate with at least 8 ounces of water to prepare your body for an increase in core temperature. Ensure you remove all makeup to enable your skin to fully absorb the benefits of the infrared heat during your sauna experience.

ARRIVE FIVE MINUTES EARLY

Our staff will get you checked-in, show you to your private room and make sure you know how to work the Smart TV and sauna controls.

WEAR COMFORT

Lightweight shorts and a tee-shirt are okay. Swimsuits are better. We recommend bringing clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session—think ‘athleisure’. The optimal sauna experience occurs between 100.4 F and 129 F. To get your body accustomed to infrared therapy, we recommend starting with shorter sessions and gradually increase towards the hour sessions. Don’t be surprised if you don’t sweat during the first few sessions.

DURING YOUR SAUNA SESSION

Infrared sauna sessions offer a cumulative wellness experience, meaning the more you come in, the greater the positive effects you’ll experience. Similar to the gradual benefits of regular exercise or a consistent diet, it may take several sessions before noticeable improvements occur.

During your initial session, you may observe that it takes 10-20 minutes to initiate perspiration. This delay is attributed to our sauna directly heating your body, leading to a passive elevation of your core temperature by 2-3 degrees, as opposed to merely warming your skin with hot air. This crucial distinction sets apart infrared saunas from traditional ones. With regular exposure to the core temperature increase, your body will adapt, resulting in earlier and more substantial sweating as your sessions progress. Use towels to absorb sweat during sessions.

POST SAUNA SESSION

When you finish your sauna session, you will continue to perspire as your body naturally cools down —refresh and revive with the provided towel and place used towels in the Towel Drop.

Your body just flushed out a lot of toxins. Drink at least 24 ounces of water or electrolytes to replenish and rehydrate—our fridge is stocked with hydration drinks as well as other nutrient dense beverages.
